Job Summary

Conduct internal audits, reviews, investigations and internal controls testing of financial, operational and IT controls within PSEG LI. Position requires delivering assurance and advisory services to internal clients on financial, operational and IT control issues. Must exhibit leadership, customer/client focus, strong written and oral communication skills, facilitation skills, negotiation skills, high level of initiative, integrity, and adaptability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Position requires contributing in a team environment to deliver assurance and advisory services to PSEG on accounting, compliance and operational control issues.
  • Performs work in accordance with applicable professional standards.
  • Presents audit findings and recommendations or audit-related issues to department and executive management verbally and/or in writing.
  • Exhibits leadership, customer/client focus, strong written and oral communication skills, facilitation skills and negotiation skills.


Job Specific Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline and 5 years’ experience in performing audits with a large organization.
  • In lieu of a degree, 10 years related experience in performing audits with a large organization.
  • Proficiency in accounting and auditing standards and MS Office applications.
  • Leadership, planning and organizing abilities.
  • Ability to analyze operations and make sound judgments with limited information.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience
  • CPA, CIA, CISA or MBA.
  • Knowledge of utility or power generation business.
  • Knowledge and use of data analytics software and some knowledge of SAP and/or TeamMate
