Location: Swansea (some flexibility to work from home is also available)

The role:

  • Undertake and support other staff with the preparation of year end accounts for a wide range of companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Undertake and assist other staff with the preparation of management accounts
  • Be a key part of audit teams undertaking assignments ensuring each is undertaken in accordance with the pre-assignment instructions
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for small clients
  • Prepare personal tax returns for small clients
  • Manage the VAT process for your clients
  • Carry out all aspects of work undertaken efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures
  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Deliver information to the client in a timely manner and within budget
  • Manage client communication in an effective manner
  • Identify where there are shortfalls of work to cover chargeability and alert Managers
  • Communicate to management progress on workload and plan for efficient completion
  • Carry out other tasks that may be assigned to you in order to support the Firm and your colleagues

  • Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Strong IT and customer services skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report writing skills

To meet our eligibility criteria you will need:

  • Have sufficient practice-based audit and/or accounts experience
  • Be part-qualified ACCA/ACA
