Do you want to work on “big 4” projects, but with more responsibility and exposure to services?
Build real relationships with clients and consult at the highest level for some of the worlds most recognised brands?
Are you looking for a genuine route to a more senior role and ultimately Partner?
If so read on…
At Greenback Alan we provide a comprehensive range of services to an extensive client list, a list that runs from major multinationals to professional partnerships and private individuals.
We have a growing portfolio of multinational clients. This is a mix of UK companies with overseas subsidiaries and foreign businesses with a UK presence. We have seen particularly strong growth from Japanese companies.
Working with Greenback Alan means you’ll get to work with “big 4” clients, but with much more responsibility. We deploy specialist teams to each project so you’ll quickly take ownership of projects and experience a variety of work.
Tasks
We're looking for an ambitious and confident audit and accounts professional to become part of our fast growing Audit & Accounts team, as a Manager.
This position will play a vital role as we continue to onboard new clients and take on more projects within our existing portfolio.
From the off you’ll lead on statutory audits from planning through to completion for the larger and more complex audits we conduct.
Due to the nature of our client base and the work we conduct, much of your week will involve general consulting for our client base, answering questions about everything and anything they might need to know while setting up a new entity abroad.
You will work to build strong relationships with your peers and key stakeholders, working independently or as a team to ensure the highest level of service and consultancy to our clients.
The bulk of your work will revolve around audit and accounts for international subsidiaries. However, there will be a small amount of work for owner-managed clients where you’ll be required to undertake bookkeeping, management accounting, and preparation of VAT returns for corporate and owner-managed clients.
As you become more established in your role, depending on your career aspirations you’ll have the opportunity to step into a Senior Manager position and furthermore work towards becoming a Partner within the business.
Requirements
First and foremost the bulk of your recent experience will be working on large-scale audits. It’s essential that you have led on projects.
Ideally, this experience will have been gained through work with either UK or overseas subsidiaries.
Technical competence will be key to your success as a manager at Greenback-Alan. You’ll be confident and experienced enough to navigate complex audits and accounts, with little need for technical support.
You’ll need a working knowledge of the general principles of corporation tax and other UK taxes.
It’s important that you are excited by client interaction and consulting, as you’ll be dealing with clients in person from the get-go
Supporting the wider team and more junior colleagues will also be important, be it through line management or ad-hoc mentoring.
Benefits
We work with “Big 4” clients, but with much more responsibility. We deploy specialist l teams to each project so you’ll quickly take ownership of projects and experience a variety of work.
Regular management meetings and 1-2-1’s to support your development and growth into a Senior Manager position and work towards becoming a Partner role.
We often visit our overseas clients, so there’s the opportunity for international travel.
