Responsibilities:
The Strategic Advisory Group is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including, technology media telecommunications, energy, power & utilities, industrials, healthcare, real estate gaming and leisure, and consumer retail.
The Strategic Capital Markets Advisory team is an extremely active and fast-growing group within PJT. The team is based across the New York and London offices with frequent collaboration across regions. The London team has been active on some of the most high-profile transactions in the market over the past 12 months, including for Porsche SE, EG Group, ASDA, ASOS, EGYM, Energia Group, Energy Infrastructure Partners, and Superbet.
As an Associate in the Strategic Capital Markets Advisory team, you will sit within the Advisory Group but also work frequently with the Restructuring and Special Situations Group who advise companies, financial sponsors and creditor groups in financially distressed situations.
- You will work directly with financial sponsor and corporate clients across all industries in evaluating, structuring, recommending and executing financing alternatives across the capital structure
- You will have the opportunity to advise clients on a broad range of transactions including (i) syndicated acquisition financings and refinancings, (ii) private credit lending, (iii) par and stressed refinancings, (iv) growth and venture capital, (v) infrastructure financings, and (vi) A&Es
- The team sits at the fulcrum of PJT’s M&A and Restructuring franchises, thereby offering unparalleled exposure to clients and senior bankers, as well as exceptional deal-flow
- Day-to-day responsibilities include analysing capital structures and cashflow models, credit documents and indentures; facilitating due diligence and discussions with companies, legal counsel and advisors; ratings analyses; and direct interaction with clients, banks and funds on capital raising transactions
- Associates will be expected to manage analysts staffed on their transactions and on internal and external business development projects
Requirements:
To be considered for the position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-4 years of experience in leveraged finance, debt capital markets, or direct lending at a leading investment bank or credit fund
- Resume must include graduation month/year and GPA
- Resume must be in PDF format
