About the Role
Would you like to be involved in designing and developing the systems that handle payment processing at ASOS?
The Payments platform team are responsible for complex integrations with a wide variety of payments providers. In our team you’ll have the opportunity to work in an incredible depth of detail, fully getting to grips with the ins and outs of how the full payments lifecycle works.
We process 1000’s of transactions per minute accurately and securely. As part of our platform, you’ll receive regular security training and have opportunities to work on performance problems at serious scale.
What You'll be Doing
- Working with people (Engineers, QA Engineers, Platform Engineers) in your platform to deliver well-crafted products
- Question things all the time. Think about the customer. Our ways of working, the features the team are implementing, the technologies we’re using.
- Learn from your peers through pairing and knowledge sharing sessions
- Working on a variety of tasks to ensure the software delivered is appropriately tested

Actively participating in sprint activities:
- Attending team ceremonies
- Supporting the development of COAs (Criteria of Acceptance) and test plans
- Creating and maintaining tests (both manual and automated)
- Executing tests at all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies
What tech we’re using:
- Testing tool such as NUnit, NCrunch, BDDfy, JMeter/NBomber, Snyk/Veracode
- Latest versions of .NET (C#)
- Azure DevOps to manage work items and CI/CD pipelines
- Microsoft Azure to host our service infrastructure across multiple regions
- Azure Service Bus
- Cosmos DB
- SQL Server

- You’ve got a real thirst for knowledge and learning new skills, you love figuring out how things work and seeing when they break, and you’re determined to build yourself an awesome career in technology
- Software development – you are able to read and write simple programs in one Object Oriented Programming language
- Natural problem solver are able to find solutions to problems
- Inquisitive mind – you are always asking why? What if this happens? How does it work?
- Good team player – you work well in a team, you’re not afraid to ask questions and you understand the importance of a good team dynamic
- Independent learner – you might not always know the answer, but you’re able to break down the problem and teach yourself the basics
Any professional experience in software development or testing will be a huge help! As well as knowledge of non-functional testing such as load, stress, compatibility or usability.
