About the role
As an Associate, you will be joining the Energy Transition & Environment team at Faculty. This team works with organisations to embed AI into the way they work and solve their hardest problems. You’ll be at the forefront of the practical application of AI and a core part of growing our business, with existing accounts and supporting entry into new sectors. We are helping energy players across the value chain supercharge the way they use data to operate their businesses, make decisions, optimise assets and engage with their consumers. Climate change is perhaps the greatest challenge of our time and these energy players play a central role in solving for it. There are a wide-range of opportunities to employ our state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to some of the world’s most important companies and help society transition to a more sustainable future.
What you'll be doing
As a rapidly growing organisation your role will evolve alongside business and customer needs, but you can expect your key day-to-day responsibilities to include:
Working directly with clients/customers across a wide range of industries to deliver business value through data science and artificial intelligence
Managing individual workstreams to support the successful delivery of customer projects
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
Working closely with technical teams to ensure that projects run smoothly on a day-to-day basis
Owning standalone internal Faculty projects
Supporting business development through undertaking research and creating compelling proposals
Adapting to an environment where no two days are the same, and taking the initiative to make sure each day is better than the one before
We are growing quickly, and you will be encouraged to grow the scope of your role as you wish.
This role does not require deep technical knowledge, but we'll help you build your understanding of data science techniques and their application in order to credibly communicate their value to a client, and be an effective member of project teams. You will have the opportunity to build up this more detailed understanding of data science first-hand, and get involved in optional internal training sessions to further your technical skills.

We are looking for people that might have:
Some experience working in a consulting or business role
Experience working as part of a team to problem-solve and analyse
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Some experience of working in the Energy transition space and/or demonstrable desire to to do so
Some product and/or technical experience is useful
A desire to continuously learn from those around you and improve
A proactive desire to take initiative and own the solution to a problem
