SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:
The Associate GU Marketing Director - Key Customer Strategy is responsible for strategic oversight, process, and content development of advisory boards, peer-to-peer education and congress strategy & coordination. He/She must work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure brand objectives and critical educational objectives are met. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, establishing an annual advisory board plan, insights reporting, development of peer-to-peer educational content, annual plan implementation and routine monitoring, and routinely ensuring compliance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead core teams to plan, develop strategic objectives, and execute advisory boards for various key customer audiences.
- Responsible for Advisory Board budget planning and monitoring, and development/approval of Annual Ad Board Plan.
- Successfully lead the development of advisory board content and key strategic insights collaborating effectively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders while ensuring adherence to Ad Board planning processes.
- Prepare and present Advisory Board QBRs and Annual Ad Board Plan, collaborating and communicating frequently with Commercial and Medical Leadership.
- Manage vendor relationship and responsibilities for business rules, compliance, budget and execution of advisory board plan and scope.
- Partner with field-based marketing team on engagement with key opinion leaders at congresses’ and other forums to gather insights and assess strategic implications to the brand.
- Partner with field-based marketing team on thought leader engagement strategy, insights gathering and regional strategic initiatives.
- Effectively lead development of all peer to peer speaker bureau content to ensure alignment with brand strategy.
- Vendor and RAMP lead for all content and coordinate with KCT Speaker Bureau lead on all planning, timelines and communication to internal stakeholders.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in related discipline and 5 years of related experience; or
- BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least 7 years of related experience; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience/The Ideal for Successful Entry into Job:
- Experience in product marketing, field sales, or market research/analysis in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
- Highly experience in interacting with key opinion leaders and other account stakeholders.
- Pharmaceutical Marketing.
- Patient Marketing, advocacy relations, public relations, digital marketing and sales experiences are a plus.
- Oncology experience is strongly preferred.

- Skills to network and collaborate internally and externally.
- Ability to draw insight from market research, key opinion leaders, the sales force, and other sources to optimize messaging, tactical plans, and strategic activities.

- Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals.
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of FDA Regulations of pharmaceutical drug promotions and experience with Legal, Medical and Regulatory review processes.
- Frequent business travel is required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $170,000 - $241,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
