RPS Group
Full Time Chepstow, Wales 22000 - 28507 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

RPS is a leader in delivering projects in complex marine environments, including offshore wind farm developments. Our experience includes 20 years at the forefront of the industry, working across the UK, wider Europe, America, Australia and Asia.

When you join RPS, you’ll become a member of a deeply experienced marine consenting team who have been selected as the lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) consultant for some of the offshore wind industry’s major “firsts”. These include the world’s largest offshore wind farms: Orsted’s Hornsea One and Two, the first offshore wind farm in Australia – CIP’s Star of the South, and once constructed, one of the world’s and Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm - SSE’s Berwick Bank offshore wind farm.

Building on our success in Scottish offshore wind, we are now the lead EIA and Habitats Regulation Appraisal (HRA) coordinator for four ScotWind projects, comprising a quarter of the planned generation capacity from Scotland’s fixed and floating offshore wind leasing round.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and ambitious Associate Director for our Marine Consenting / EIA PM Team.

This role will support our portfolio of high-profile offshore projects in Scotland. With an enviable client list, and the highest calibre EIA coordination and Technical teams, we offer unparalleled opportunities to apply your talent, develop your skills and truly progress in your career.

What you’ll be doing
You will lead an experienced project team by managing and overseeing the delivery of large-scale marine and coastal infrastructure projects from commencement to completion, with a particular focus on Offshore Wind, Renewables and Energy Transition.

As the day-to-day link and Project Director / Senior Project Manager for the client, and the ‘go to’ person for both the client and the Technical Director MC&E and Director, Sites, you will be responsible for client relationships, project direction and contributing to the team’s wider business and development initiatives.

You will work initially lead on Scottish projects but as your career with RPS develops, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge across our UK, Ireland and global portfolio.

Who we’re looking for
Extensive consultancy or developer experience within EIA is highly desirable, particularly relating to offshore or onshore renewables projects, ideally coupled with experience in major offshore energy infrastructure projects. Applicants with experience of working in other offshore industries (e.g., Oil & Gas) or onshore energy infrastructure projects would also be welcomed.

A post-graduate qualification in a relevant environmental discipline and having membership or chartered status of a relevant professional institute is highly desirable.

What’s in it for you?
If you’re interested in how we use and manage the marine environment and want to help meet NetZero targets and support projects that tackle climate change through the development of offshore renewable energy, then talk to us about our career opportunities in this area.

We encourage and value different ideas, perspectives, and styles of thinking. We need a mix of experiences and skills to develop the most innovative ideas. We respect one another and recognise the potential and contribution of everyone. You’ll be joining a diverse community and a company that puts its people first and prioritises their well-being.

We offer flexible / hybrid / remote working.
