Position Summary:
The Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU is searching for an energetic self-motivated problem solver with a high attention to detail and a good understanding of project management. This role will manage business and administrative operations for the Interdisciplinary Arts Program to ensure effective curricular and extracurricular programming for the Gallatin School. Manage various administrative support services for the Arts Faculty. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) support for the Interdisciplinary Arts Committee, administer Arts Workshop courses, manage production for arts events, implement extracurricular arts programming; develop and implement policies and procedures streamline management of arts-program equipment and supplies/tools (camera equipment, etc.); prepare and oversee financial reporting for the program/unit, including events; administer budgets to ensure responsible stewardship of programmatic resources. Interpret and apply University policies to effectively plan and manage moderately complex administrative matters. Collaborate with faculty to develop annual and long-term planning of various arts activities and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in liberal arts or related field.
Required Experience:
5+ years in higher education administration, managing academic program(s), project management in an arts related field and budget management experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to take initiative and manage a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong project management and problem solving skills. Ability to act in a professional and confidential manner with all levels of employees and outside groups and effectively respond to simultaneous requests and projects. Ability to manage budgets. Knowledge of advanced functions for MS Office applications.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
