Job description
The Investment Property Office (IPO) is responsible for the development and management of a diverse portfolio of real estate assets, including Commercial Lab & office, Build-to- Rent and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation. The portfolio is West London focused, where Imperial has a significant and exciting development land pipeline in White City and North Acton.
The IPO’s main aim is to generate material streams of unfettered income that can be used to support Imperial’s academic mission, as part of the College’s financial strategy of diversification.
Duties and responsibilities
The Associate Contracts Manager will support the Contracts Manager in putting in place a robust contracting framework with all internal and external service providers and ensure successful management and co-ordination of contract negotiations.
You will be supporting the end-to-end management of IPO’s portfolio contracts in support of business objectives and business growth throughout the life cycle of the contract. You will report into the Contracts Manager who will be accountable for delivering and implementing an appropriate range of contracting activities following contract management best practices. Experience of contracts management within Building/Facilities Management is required for this role.

Essential requirements
- Degree level or equivalent qualifications
- Proven and demonstrable evidence of experience in contracts management
- Experience in Third Party Risk Management
- Experience of working within a complex stakeholder environment
- Experience in contracts management including monitoring, risk management, impact mitigation and reporting
- Sound understanding of the financial mechanisms that underpin real estate
- Clear ability to develop effective personal relationships and commercial/business relationships

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Frameworkuntil early 2023. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
