Legal Strategy and M&A Associate
Permanent/Full Time
Are you a qualified Lawyer with a background in commercial and/or corporate law? Are you a self-starter with the
ability to work at pace?
The 2M Group of Companies are looking for an experienced Lawyer to join our friendly and dynamic offices based in
Runcorn, Cheshire. However, location is flexible and candidates local to Yorkshire are encouraged to apply as there is the
option to work from our Leeds office.
This is an exciting and brand-new opportunity to make your mark and support the continued growth of our commercial
businesses.
What you’ll be doing…
development/implementation of legal governance frameworks across the Group, including:
- Draft, review, distribute and monitor contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Provide legal advice and guidance to management and departments on legal matters
- Manage and develop relationships with external lawyers and legal advisors
- Support in legal areas of M&A transactions
- Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and risk management
- Organise and manage legal filings and documentation
- Provide legal training and education to employees
Your background…
- 2-3 years PQE (Post Qualifying Experience) in
Commercial or Corporate law (Solicitor/Legal
Executive)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong Understanding of laws and regulations in
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage
priorities effectively
Nice to have…
- Bachelor’s degree in law or relevant field.
- Exposure to chemicals/industrial sectors.
- Experience in sell-side/ buy-side private and public
- Familiarity with intellectual property law
- Experience in company secretarial work
