Job description
As an Assistant Technician you will be an integral member of the Department’s existing technical support team.
Reporting to the Departmental Lead Technician, you will assist in the provision of technical support for research and teaching activities on a range of issues across the Department/defined work area. This includes providing support to deliveries and lab supplies & services, undergraduate student projects and postgraduate projects. The role will include liaising with staff and students, resolving minor issues directly and reporting technical issues to senior staff as appropriate.
You will adopt high working standards to ensure the Department’s technical team continues to be recognised for its service excellence and exemplary Health and Safety record.
This post is open ended and is set at Grade 3 on the salary scale.
