Assistant Site Manager
£29,000 - £30,000 per annum
Swansea
40 hours per week
Reporting to the site manager, you will be responsible for delivering safety and compliance, and effectively managing all aspects relating to people, assets, processes and performance related to the site.

Joining the business as an Assistant Site Manager at one of our 60+ overall distribution facilities, driving performance through customer relationships and satisfaction as well as people management of a small but dedicated team of drivers and operatives. No two days are the same and you will have a fantastic opportunity to drive improvements and be creative with your ideas.
The Role
- Retain existing customer base by driving customer service standards within the site
- Ensuring cylinder filing meets demand and stock requirements
- Protecting the company’s operating licence by ensuring management and compliance with driver’s hours & tachograph regulations and working time directive
- Maintenance of safety critical equipment in accordance with PSPI’s
- Assist in all aspects of managing colleagues on site including selection, recruitment, training, performance management and appraisals etc
About You
- Knowledge of working to Health & Safety and employment law good practice
- Effectively communicate with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Able to show effective management of people and problems
- Able to demonstrate commercial awareness (in management of margins and volumes)
- Experienced in customer service, providing great service and resolving customer issues
- Holder of a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (CPC) and experience of CODAS preferrable but not essential
