Job description
We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager with a proven track record delivering new build residential properties from start to finish with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
The Role and responsibilities:
To assist with supervising and organising sites so that work is carried out to the required standards with minimum risk to employees, other contractors, the public, equipment, or materials and in accordance with the requirements of the client’s specification and the site Health and Safety Plan.
- You assist with the need to plan and supervise the day-to-day activities at site level and ensure that work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with all H&S legislation.
- Confident, willing attitude
- Experience of managing a team
- Various trades knowledge
- Experience as a foreman in a previous role would be ideal
- A flexible approach to the role
- Self sufficient and a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Maintaining and establishing relationships with clients, the public and subcontractors
- Timekeeping skills
- To ensure all works are completed to the highest standard and in accordance with Quality control list.
- Selecting tools and equipment and sourcing materials.
- Understanding schedule of works document/our tender price and liaise with QS to monitor costs.
- Chasing subcontractors and suppliers for start/delivery dates.
- Site inductions to all staff and visitors to site.
Key Requirements
- Good Leadership Skills and experience in running teams
- Confident communicator
- Good knowledge in using MS Office.
Preferable Training/Qualifications
- Full UK Driving License
- CSCS (essential)
- SSSTS (essential) SMSTS (preferred)
- First Aid (essential)
- Fire Marshal (preferred)
- PASMA (preferred)
