Job description
A full time Assistant Psychologist post has arisen to work in our Learning Disability and Complex Needs Service due to our current Assistant being successful in gaining a place on the doctorate. The service comprises Nurses, Social workers, Allied Health Professionals and Clinical Psychologists and provides health and social care to people living in Salford. The ability to work closely with other professions is an essential requirement along with a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
You will work closely with experienced clinical psychologist(s) and trainee clinical psychologist(s).
You will have the opportunity to gain both clinical and research experience relevant to professional development within the service.
There will be opportunity to work individually with people as well as contributing to group work.
You will also support the team with dementia assessments, well-being workshops and other therapeutic work, training, audit, research & development, and clinical administration.
