Job description
Devon Partnership NHS Trust in association with Co lab Exeter are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and creative Assistant Psychologists for a new homelessness and substance based project.
STAR Exeter (System Treatment and Recovery)
The STAR service has been awarded funding by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities to bring together a one team approach to providing wrap around support and engagement to people rough sleeping, or in temporary accommodation, who are experiencing substance misuse challenges but are not yet engaged with relevant services.
The one team will include a project co-ordinator, team leader, specialist enablement workers (SEW), psychologist or psychological therapist, assistant psychologist, GP, data analyst and administrators. The whole team will work using a MEAM, trauma informed approach.
The service is based at Co Lab in Exeter which is a multi-agency well-being hub that enables people and organisations to work together, creating conditions for people to lead their best lives and for organisations to achieve their greatest impact and value.
This provides the opportunity to work alongside, and learn from, third sector expertise in addition to statutory services also based at Co Lab. This includes the Trusts homelessness team. As a collaborative development, the post holders can benefit from training and support both within the Co Lab provisional and the trust.
