Assistant Project Manager - Properties Street, England
Job description
Are you passionate about property project management and eager to contribute to the success of a global brand? Joining Clarks' UK&ROI Properties team means being part of a company with a rich heritage and a commitment to delivering exceptional retail experiences.
The role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction and shop fitting projects.
Your responsibilities will include creating and altering drawings using CAD and Sketch Up, understanding building control regulations and statutory compliance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to overcome project challenges. You will collaborate with the Construction Manager and cross-functional teams to oversee all aspects of the project life cycle, from initiation to completion.
About you
Ideally, you will possess a strong skill set and experience in construction and shopfitting projects. You should have proficiency in using CAD and Sketch Up techniques to assist in the preparation of layout designs. Your ability to support project delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards is crucial.
You’ll be able to contribute to the preparation of measured building surveys and the creation of project packages for competitive tenders, statutory approvals, and store builds. This includes incorporating third-party designs and providing key dimensional and constructional details.
Attending site meetings, ensuring consistent quality of work, adherence to safe practices and contractor performance will be part of your responsibilities. You should also have the capability to conduct site defects inspections and manage them through to completion with contractors and suppliers.
Strong communication and liaison skills are essential for interacting with local statutory and legislative authorities to obtain necessary consents within project timelines. Working closely with third-party suppliers to obtain fixture quotations, establish lead times, and coordinate deliveries for projects and regional franchise partners is also expected.
