Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner – full time permanent position
Inpatients North CBU St Georges Park Morpeth
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner Band 4, to join our experienced, dedicated and forward thinking mental health Physiotherapy Inpatients service. This post, based at St Georges Park Morpeth will provide Physiotherapy led interventions to inpatients who have a wide range of mental and physical health issues and will work across Working Age Adult and Older Person’s pathways.

Main duties will include supporting the delivery of specialist group sessions to patients; supporting the delivery of specialist education sessions; 1:1 session under the guidance of a qualified Physiotherapist; assessment and treatment planning for a specific caseload; management and maintenance of equipment, with administrative duties so a good knowledge of IT / presentation skills is required, contributing to educating Students is also essential. As a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner, you will be expected to be able to follow oral and written instructions and present information, written and orally in a clear and logical manner to the wider MDT Eg patient record keeping
The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, with previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. They must be able to demonstrate good verbal and nonverbal communication skills with experience of communicating with people who may have communication difficulties EG dementia and a have basic knowledge of rehabilitation and exercise. They will also require the ability to cope within an unpredictable and stressful environment, be able to organise / prioritise own workload whilst being flexible and adaptable to the Team requirement

You will be supported and encouraged to continue and develop your knowledge and skills through Physiotherapy led competencies. Your development will be guided using clinical supervision, from Qualified members of the Team and caseload management. In Service training opportunities and use of the Trust's appraisal process.
