Tatton Park requires an Assistant Park Ranger to be part of a critical team looking after the 2000 acre historic Tatton Park estate. This person will assist in all aspects of estate operations and related visitor management in order to deliver consistent and effective visitor services. Reporting to the Estate Rangers, the role involves working a shift pattern including regular weekends.

We're hiring an Assistant Park Ranger - come and help the Rangers protect and preserve Tatton Park and become part of a critical team looking after 2000 acres of historic estate.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the knowledge and skills in order to assist in all aspects of of estate operations and maintenance, including visitor management, management of livestock, assisting with the planning and implementation of events and supporting the various teams based within Tatton Park.
Assistant Park Rangers report directly to the Park Rangers, the role involves working a shift pattern including regular weekends.

Tatton Park is a 2000 acre estate managed by Cheshire East Council on behalf of the National Trust, and receives 840,000 visitors annually. It has 4 major attractions of the Mansion, Gardens, Farm and the parkland itself. We host many outdoor events including the RHS Flower Show, Car Shows and Concerts. The estate incorporates a diverse and unique range of habitats landscapes and visitor opportunities: from deer park to SSSI meres. In order to maintain high standards of site presentation, engage and assist with visitors, undertake practical conservation/maintenance tasks we require a new Assistant Park Ranger to work as part of team caring for the estate.
Applicants will have experience in countryside management and the husbandry of livestock. They must have a range of practical skills and have the ability to work with both livestock and the public.
Hours will be based on a shift system and will include regular weekends and Bank Holidays and some evenings.
