Job description
Based in Stranraer and reporting to the industrial Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of the site overall management reporting.
You will need to ensure that site’s business decisions are data driven through real time business data analysis and communication. You will be producing a variety of reports and information on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis and will have the ability to analyse and provide explanation of variances.
Principle Accountabilities/ Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist on Preparation of Weekly & Monthly Management Financial Reports for the relevant business units
Assist on Preparation of the Monthly Forecast and annual industrial Budget
Review Weekly and Monthly Result with the functional and hierarchical reporting line.
Carry out and review variances across different scenarios (Vs Budget, Forecast, Prior Forecast, Prior Year).
Daily/Weekly Inventory Production & Sales Reconciliations, Analysis & Reporting.
Work in partnership with the other members of the team to ensure the delivery of financial objectives and cover them when required.
Assist With Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations when needed.
Support the accounting team during the financial audit
Identifying and executing process improvements in industrial controlling
Special & Adhoc Finance Projects & Tasks.

Technical or Special Knowledge, Experience, Training, Qualifications and Competencies:
Essential
- Business Or Science Degree
- Experience in Accounting/Financial Analysis (2-3 years)
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency using Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyse and evaluate large volumes of data against key indicators, and to proactively communicate findings/trends/anomalies
- A passion for detail
- Excellent Communication & Organizational Skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and targets
Desirable
- FP&A industrial experience in FMCG company would be highly beneficial.
- Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
