Assistant Management Accountant 3 - 6 Month FTC
Purpose of the role:
To support the site in the daily, weekly, monthly and annual Financial Reporting of business performance. Support and challenge the Operations team building a proactive and effective business partnering relationship with the site teams. Ensure business and system controls are maintained to a high standard.
The role will ensure the individual gains a full understanding of all elements of the P&L (including the standard costing method) as well exposure to Financial Accounts (balance sheet reporting) while providing opportunities that support the team, and the wider business, with projects that will add value and efficiencies within the business.

Some of Your Key Activities:
Performance Reporting:
Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of the business performance both internally and to Central Finance. Exceptions are identified, highlighted and resolved
Month End:
To support the month end process, ensure process is robust and efficient with a clear understanding of all variances and balance sheet reconciliations are accurate with supporting documentation
PIPs:
Support the Performance Improvement Program management process and reporting
Control Environment:
Areas for improvement are identified and modifications are implemented to ensure a robust system of control is in place
Ensure that the business systems are operating and being used effectively & efficiently and the integrity of the information held with is maintained to a high standard (inc. Master Data, commercial and operational controls)
Year End:
Support the collation and reporting for the annual financial audit including attending stock takes
Support the annual standards review (price and performance) process
Group Requirements:
To support with any group requests as required. Ensuring that reporting and control systems are reviewed and modified to comply with group standards
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience:
The right candidate will either be a part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA etc.)
Key Skills:
- AAT qualified / early stages of professional accountancy qualification (graduates considered)
- FMCG background beneficial – ability to work within a fast-paced changeable environment
- Highly numerical/analytical and strong problem solving skills
- High level of computer literacy
