Supporting the Assurance Learning Manager, you will partner with the Assurance business unit to collaboratively design and deliver strategic and impactful learning and development solutions.
Assurance is an important part of our Audit Transformation agenda and a high priority for the UK Executive. Developing new services that we can take to our Audit and non-Audit clients, using the skills and experience of our people to open new revenue opportunities and broaden our scope of service beyond our core Audit offering. As the Assurance business unit grows, the development of new learning and development initiatives is paramount to achieving this goal.
You will collaborate with key People and Purpose stakeholders across Audit and Assurance to establish and deliver an Assurance curriculum for each of the service offerings within the business unit.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake a range of duties as specified by the Assurance Learning manager and the A&A Learning Leader to assist the efficient operation of activities across Assurance learning and development. This includes collaborating with the Assurance Learning manager to build the Assurance learning function and deputise in the absence of the Assurance Learning Manager.
- Provide project management support to the Assurance Learning Manager and support the coordination and logistics of Assurance learning interventions including the Annual Assurance Event.
- Collaborate with the NSE A&A L&D team to build and deliver an NSE Assurance curriculum. Also, working across the A&A learning team in supporting learning programmes where Assurance is involved including but not limited to the Early Career development (ECDP) and Experienced Hire Induction (EHI).
- Undertake research and report on findings for specific development activities, supporting the Assurance learning programmes. Maintain an accurate and up to date record of learning and development activities within specified areas. Also ensuring that all tasks are completed to agreed timescales, standards of accuracy and presentation.
- Maximise the use of information technology and digital platforms such as Cornerstone SBX (formerly SABA) when undertaking learning and development tasks. Including the maintaining and updating of internal Assurance digital learning pages.
- Be a team player within our A&A L&D team and build on the close working relationships across Assurance. Including communicating and liaising with colleagues from other departments and external organisations to develop and deliver high quality training and development interventions.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
- Demonstrable experience of working in a Learning and Development role
- A strong base line of core Learning competence and demonstrable experience in an advisor or Business Partner capacity.
- Adept at communicating, influencing, coaching, educating, challenging and managing senior stakeholders.
- A strong relationship builder with a proven ability to communicate, influence, consult and advise at an appropriate level.
- Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to use and interpret appropriate metrics and insights
- Able to manage concurrent activities ensuring appropriate risk management.
- Experience or exposure to project management principles and strong organisational skills.
- Event management experience is beneficial

Personal independence
