Assistant Housekeeping Manager - Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire
Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian is an elegant Victorian hotel overlooking Union Terrace Gardens in the city centre.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee and support our housekeeping operations at the Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel, training and supervising housekeeping staff, and ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are kept to the highest standards while working closely with the Head Housekeeper.

- Oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Train and supervise housekeeping staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally, taking appropriate action to resolve any issues.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures related to housekeeping.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new housekeeping team members.
