Assistant Herdsperson Kirkcudbright, Scotland
Job description
We are seeking an Assistant Herdsman to help on a 500 cow dairy near Kirkcudbright in the South West of Scotland.
We currently milk our cows twice, through a 24swing over Delaval parlour. We graze 150 low yielders in the summer months.
Your role will be to help milk twice a day and manage the herd.
We are looking for someone with a great cow interest and appetite to learn and progress in the dairy industry.
We would prefer someone with AI and Foottrimming skills but training can be provided for the right candidate.
We would also like someone who is interested in data input and analysis.
There is a recently renovated 3bedroom house available, with central heating. We are situated on a school bus route and only 3 miles from Kirkcudbright.

Salary: From £2,500.00 per month
