About the role


Balfour Beatty are currently recruiting for a Secretary / Receptionist to join our regional team based in Fife College, for the design and construction of a new learning campus in Dunfermline, Scotland.

This role is available full time, part time or job share, because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full time.

The core hours are 8am - 16:30pm (earlier finish on Friday's) , the start time is relatively fixed, the finish time and overall hours can be more flexible.


What you'll be doing


The role will involve:

  • Coordinating visitors and personnel arriving on site,
  • Coordinating office activities such as meeting rooms and meeting calendars
  • Maintaining a positive impression of BB, by keeping the office running smoothly
  • Coordinating project inductions
  • Assisting Document control function
  • Archiving of site records
  • Coordinating and compiling project reports prior to issue
  • Carry out weekly office inspections
  • Look for way to constantly improve customer services within this area of the business
  • Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and tidy
  • Support ad-hoc administrative duties, as required.

You will have the following:

  • Competent using all Microsoft programmes
  • Good communicator and suited to client facing role
  • Team player who will encourage a positive working culture
  • Ability to be courteous, effective and efficient ‘front of house’ service to all visitors and wider team.
