What are we recruiting for?
Ormskirk Market is looking to hire an Assistant General Managerto work side-by-side with our General Manager and the Ormskirk Market team to help us deliver exceptional experiences across all areas of the Market with professional support and clear direction to take the business to the next level. This opportunity will involve managing the business operation daily and ensure that the high standards are maintained. Your mission is to create a fun and vibrant atmosphere whilst ensuring high standards and service are maintained.
This is a full-time position based on an average of 45 hour working predominantly 5 days out of 7 including weekends.
What do we expect from this role?
- Drive the business strategy in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Playing a visible role on the floor, leading, and guiding the team to achieve an amazing service.
- Review checklist on a regular basis and update SOPs.
- Create and deliver regular training sessions with the team.
- Complete and issue the weekly rotas ensuring we keep in budget.
- Managing productivity of team.
- Liaising and building relationships with Management, Suppliers and Guests.
- Handling guest complaints.
Skills and Experience Required
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience as an Assistant General Manager in a Restaurant and Cocktail Bar.
- Motivational leadership skills.
- Commercial awareness of the Food and Beverage Operation.
- Health and Safety awareness.
- Motivational attitude to make positive and constructive input to the team.
- Strong knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft packages.
- Strong Beverage and Cocktail knowledge.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- HR awareness and confidence in dealing with investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
- Knowledge and experience with managing rotas and ordering systems.
