As an Assistant Technologist, you will supporting in developing a product offer that meets customer requirements for quality and fit, maximising sales and profit opportunities whilst minimising faulty and fit returns. You will be responsible for managing your own marketing group/s from first fit through to delivery.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Manage the product development process from first fit through to production, liaising with design, buying, merchandising, suppliers, franchise, international, supply chain and E-commerce as required.

Understand garment construction and suitability for mass production

Monitor and manage quality fit issues

Completes factory/testing laboratory/ Distribution centre trips in line with departmental needs and individual responsibility

Data/system management

Knowledge & Experience

Previous experience in quality with a major retailer / supplier / department within New Look

Multi Product experience

Minimum level of education or qualifications

Degree level fashion / technical qualifications plus one year of technical experience

Apprentice level 3/4 plus one year of additional technical experience

If no fashion qualification - at least 2 years of technical experience
