It is therefore ideal for either an experienced AAT qualified accountant or as a first step into NHS financial management. Your initial banding and subsequent progression would be linked to experience, qualifications and behaviours, in line with the Trust’s competency framework. If successful, you would provide management accounting support to our service managers and clinical leads through the timely production of financial information. The role includes month end reporting, providing financial advice and support and supporting the Finance Business Partners. All candidates will receive full training and an opportunity to study towards AAT or a CCAB qualification in line with the current policy.
As a more experienced candidate, the Assistant Finance Business Partner role will uniquely allow you to experience all aspects of the management accounting function. We are a small team, so you will have opportunities to gain awareness of costing, income, planning, financial accounts and the role of the wider health system. This therefore offers an ideal opportunity for someone aspiring towards a business partnering position.

To provide, support to the Finance Business Partner in the provision of high-quality financial management services. They will be responsible for the accuracy and timely production of financial information for their Directorate. This will require proactively liaising with operational budget managers, clinicians and consultants to provide financial advice and information consistent with local accounting policies and Standing Financial Instructions.
