The role

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Editor , passionate about science and technology communication in an exciting high-profile Editorial role at SelectScience. You will join a first-class team and work with world renowned scientists and laboratory manufacturers, building a network of high calibre contacts.


Relish the opportunity to create engaging content, from videos, articles and webinars to infographics and beyond, to attract an international audience of scientists who buy laboratory products. As the no.1 laboratory product reviews site in the industry, you’ll encourage scientists from around the world to share their opinions on the products they use to help inform their peers and accelerate science.


About you

You will have:

  • A strong scientific qualification, preferably in Chemistry or Life Sciences
  • A good working understanding of technologies and techniques within your scientific area of knowledge
  • Confidence talking to world-leading scientists, marketers and sponsors
  • Experience working with a science publisher, agency or manufacturer
  • Skills in creating successful digital content, using strong writing, exciting headlines, and SEO optimization
  • The ability to tailor content to speaks to a targeted online audience
  • Experience of successfully managing projects, to agreed deadlines
  • A keen interest in digital, marketing and science communication
  • A team-player attitude
