We are currently Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager for the Grand Jersey Hotel and Spa
About the role:
- We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and charming Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager to join our team at Grand Jersey Hotel in Jersey. If turning someone’s dream event into a reality is your idea of the perfect job, this is the role for you.
- You are the ultimate ‘people person’, able to charm wedding couples, organise suppliers, and inspire our permanent and casual team members to be their best. Whether it’s a conference, a private dining event, a wedding or a big birthday bash, you’ll take the reins and oversee the event from start to finish (including the all-important set up and clear downs), while always keeping a cool head.
- This is an operational, hands-on role which involves working a mixture of shifts to include some early shifts but also a number of late finishes to close after weddings and events and to set up events for the following day. It also includes weekend working.
- Of course, this requires a lot of skill and dedication, so you will have incredible organisational skills and attention to detail, along with stamina and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Does this sound like a challenge you’d like to take on? Then we’d love to hear from you.
About you:
- You’ll have previous experience working at a supervisory level in a Conference & Banqueting role and experience of supervising weddings and events in a 4 or 5 star hotel.
- You’ll be excellent at building a rapport with colleagues and guests, with a professional organised and friendly approach.
- It is essetential you can demonstrate excellent attention to detail and precision and are able to exceed our guests expectations.
- This is hands on role, however you will also be capable of leading, coaching and developing a team.
