Pit and Pal (House of Burgers) is excited to announce the opening of new branch the Hove area. We are looking to build a an amazing team to serve our tasty smashed burgers to the people of Hove and Brighton.
We prep all our food using fresh ingredients and have unique homemade recipes for each one of our burgers and nibbles. On top of that we add a sprinkle of love and care to make sure they taste even better.
We are looking for candidates who like to take pride in what they do and are happy to cook and serve people with great quality food and service. If you consider yourself a person who enjoys cooking freshly made burger and nibbles then just tell us about yourself and your skills.
Our extensive training program enables all pals to acquire essential skills required to prep, cook and serve our customers.
What are the job responsibilities?
- Smash grill some tasty burgers.
- Measure all food items and portion them accurately. Adhere to all quality standards, portion sizes, policies and procedures.
- Ensure all foods are properly prepared in a timely manner and to specifications
- Apply kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, warmers, grill in preparing food items
- Ensure proper storage of food by maintaining the right temperatures
- Keep all menu items fresh and ensure they retain original quality
- Package all products following the right specifications
- Carry out opening, closing, and side work tasks as assigned following appropriate guidelines
- Ensure equipment and workstation are adequately stocked, organised, and clean
- Adhere to all sanitation regulations and health codes
- Set up kitchen equipment and operate them
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members and management.
- Must be able to follow instructions and stay informed of changing conditions in the kitchen.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks on the plate at once.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, as this is a primary role for interacting with guests, guests' families and co-workers.
- Must have excellent time management skills, as this is a primary role for managing the workload of the kitchen staff, as well as managing the schedule of your manager or cooks.
Pit and Pal is looking for a Kitchen Team Member at our Hove location who is energetic, reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn new skills. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where you will be working under pressure and on-time, with an eye for detail, and who has the ability to work as part of a team or on your own. Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £9.00-£11.50 per hour
