This position is to commence as soon as possible.
Oakfield School is a Residential Special School catering for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and positive individual who is caring, approachable and compassionate by nature with excellent communication skills. You need to have an interest in the great outdoors and be able to participate in all kinds of sporting activities.
No previous childcare experience is necessary. As an Assistant Child Care Officer you need to have a genuine interest and a passion for working with children is essential.
You will be expected to provide high quality care, control and supervision to children and young people within the residential and school setting. This position may require you to work shifts and to sleep on site occasionally.
