Hill Park School is currently a two site (Primary/ Secondary) special school for pupils aged 4 - 16 years for pupils with needs ranging from moderate (MLD), severe (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Some pupils also have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum condition (ASC), complex medical needs or physical disabilities. A newly refurbished third site, The Hive Centre, will be opening in September 2023.
About the role
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Caretaker to join our premises team. We currently have a Site Manager and one Assistant Site Manager. The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, able to work well within an established team, able to assist with premises issues and have a working knowledge of health and safety requirements. Duties will include assisting with the cleanliness, security and maintenance of the site. The successful applicant will have some knowledge of building maintenance eg plumbing, carpentry, basic electrics together with general DIY skills for repairs and maintenance. Willingness to be flexible with your hours as and when required will be advantageous.
The sites of Hill Park School are very busy and this is a varied role and will involve daily interaction with the pupils.
