As an Assistant Buyer in our Smart & Imaging category, you’ll get to kickstart your buying career in this fast-paced role. You’ll support our Senior Buyer to bring a fantastic range of products to our customers. With the chance to help negotiate with suppliers, you’ll get hands-on experience at the heart of a highly skilled team. Whatever direction you take in the future, you’ll be well equipped to progress.
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Helping to manage supplier relationships in line with our category strategy
- Selecting and negotiating product ranges and pricing
- Keeping tabs on the competition so we can set competitive prices
- Analysing trading performance and recommending actions to drive our business
You will need:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g. Marketing, Merchandising, Retail or Business
- Great communication and relationship building skills
- To be organised, analytical and numerate with good judgment
- Strong commercial awareness and a sense of customer needs
