As an Assistant Buyer in our Smart Home category, you’ll get to develop your buying career in this fast-paced role. You’ll support our Smart Home Buyer to bring a fantastic range of products to our customers. With the chance to help negotiate with suppliers, you’ll get hands-on experience at the heart of a highly skilled team. Whatever direction you take in the future, you’ll be well equipped to progress.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Helping to manage supplier relationships in line with our category strategy
• Selecting and negotiating product ranges and pricing
• Keeping tabs on the competition so we can set competitive prices
• Analysing trading performance and recommending actions to drive our business

You will need:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
• A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g. Marketing, Merchandising, Retail or Business
• Great communication and relationship building skills
• To be organised, analytical and numerate with good judgment
• Strong commercial awareness and a sense of customer needs
