We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented, and driven Assistant Artist Agent to join BPM Artist Agency. This is an exciting opportunity to enter the dynamic world of the music industry, contribute to the growth of our artists, and help shape their professional journeys.
Position Overview
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our experienced team of artist agents to provide comprehensive support in the representation of our talents. Your work will play a crucial role in supporting our artist agents, and also serve as an introduction to the wider scope of the music industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to artist agents in all aspects of artist representation, including contract negotiation, tour planning, and promotional activities.
- Assist in coordinating artist schedules, ensuring timely communication between artists, promoters, venues, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to organise and execute successful marketing and promotional campaigns for our artists.
- Research and identify new opportunities for artist exposure, including collaborations, endorsements, and media appearances.
- Help maintain our artist databas and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist with travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and logistics for our artist tours and performances.
- Coordinate and attend artist meetings, take detailed notes and follow up on actioned items.
- Act as a liaison between our artists, their management teams, and external contacts, ensuring effective communication and professional relationships.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and emerging artists to provide valuable insights to the artist agents.
Essential Qualities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact professionally with artists, team members, and industry professionals.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, such as scheduling, email correspondence, and document management.
- Passion for music and a deep understanding of the industry’s dynamics, trends, and artist developmental process.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
- Proactive and resourceful mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and take the initiative.
Desirable Qualities
- Educated to, or working towards, a degree in a relevant subject area.
- Previous experience in artist management, talent agencies, or a music-related organisation.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation, copyright, and intellectual property rights in the music industry.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms and the ability to support our artists’ promotion and brand building.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software for efficient workflow management.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to contribute innovative ideas for artist development and career growth.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
