Reach PLC have an exciting opportunity for an Finance Assistant. This is a fixed term 6 month contract.
You will support senior staff within the revenue and banking team in providing a professional, efficient and timely service to all Reach PLC businesses.

You will be required to collect and record financial data into spreadsheets and accounting software so that discrepancies can be identified before financial statements are generated.
Other duties include:
- Providing support to the revenue and banking team
- Liaising with commercial and sales ledger teams to facilitate the processing of sales invoices and ensure efficient reconciliation
- Maintaining financial systems, recording and processing financial information, data entry and general financial administration
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts primarily relating to accrued and deferred income
- Ensure that internal controls are operating effectively
- Participate in a customer focussed environment
- Liaison with internal and external auditors
- Investigating root causes of issues
- Thorough attention to detail
- Excellent maths knowledge
- Ability to use own initiative and work independently
- Customer service skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Experience of working with high volumes of data in large integrated finance systems
- Experience of performing finance reconciliations
- Good team ethic
- Experience of manipulating data sets within spreadsheets
- Computer literacy in Word, email
- Self motivated
- Ability to work with colleagues at all levels and from various functions
- Positive “can do”, flexible attitude
- Remaining professional at all times and calm under pressure
