Job title: Assistant Accountant - Costbase

Salary: £39,316 + (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- To work with the Senior Accountant – Costbase Capability Centre in the provision of financial support and information to the business teams on a monthly basis
- Including (but not limited to) budget holder reviews (at least quarterly)
- Reforecast and 5-year business plan, journal processing, raising on invoices, weekly cash forecasting, driving understanding of toolsets and financials in the wider business
- To support the wider team during periods of peak workload
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Part Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA, or AAT qualified
- Confidence to financially challenge in a way to add value to the business
- Ability to prepare both detailed and summarised information whilst adhering to deadlines
- Able to develop effective working relationships and be flexible in a changing environment
- Strong knowledge of debits/credits and accruals/prepayments
- Proficient in using Microsoft products including excel, word, power-point
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written
Desirable:
- Detailed knowledge of relevant financial systems within AIR finance
- Experience of communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience of working in a large organisation

The FP&A Costbase Capability Centre team:
Working as part of a team of 22 under Senior Finance Manager to provide costbase support to the digital area of the Air business. Conducting budget holder reviews using a dashboard tool to support the business in managing best outcome and provision of high-quality information to business partner, as well as supporting month end processes including accurate and timely processing of accruals/prepayments/transfers and raising invoices
The successful candidate will be proactive with a forward thinking and collaborative approach, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to workload peaks and changes in business or processes. Strong communication skills are essential in collaborating with the business and key finance stakeholders. In addition, building effective relationships with budget holders in the business to support them in management of their budgets to a successful business outcome
