Lloyd Motors Ltd are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to be a part of the existing team based in Lloyd KIA, Carlisle.
This role is to support the Accountant in all aspects of accounts production and monthly reconciliations. You will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, reconcile various balance sheets and help to manage the day to day running of the accounts department.
Key areas of the role will likely include, but are not limited to:-
- Responsibility for ensuring debt collection processes are implemented and actioned
- Responsibility for daily bank and card reconciliations
- Review and posting of manufacturer and 3rd party bonuses and rebates
- First stage set-up of supplier and customer bank payments
- Shared responsibility for the management of accounts staff within the wider department
- Support with inter-company monthly ledger reconciliations / payments
- Assistance with periodic vehicle stock counts and reconciliation of the same
- Assisting the Accountant in retaining strong month end cut-offs and adherence to controls
We are looking for a skilled Assistant Accountant, experience of working in the motor industry and knowledge of Kerridge would be desirable, but not essential, as full training will be given.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and energetic, with a positive “can-do” attitude and strong work ethic.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Between £25,000 - £28,000 Per Annum
