We have some exciting opportunities available at Barking and Dagenham College.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team here at BDC, to ensure a professional, customer focused accounting service is provided to Governors, cost centre managers and students.
It is essential that you are fully qualified AAT or a part-qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW), and that you have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, for this very busy role.
You should also have experience of using a computerised financial systems and desktop packages, and of using Excel and Word.
Ideally you will have assisted in preparing budgets, and in the preparation of financial accounts, as well as experience of treasury management and bank reconciliation.
