Production Assembler - Melsonby
Location: Melsonby, United Kingdom | Full time
Your Challenge
As an Assembler in our impressive Production facility in the beautiful Melsonby, North Yorkshire, you will be involved in working with our friendly production team on assembling and testing of our Traffic Signal Controllers, Variable Message Signs and Associated Equipment
The successful candidate will be required to ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard inline with company procedures. Within the role there is an expectation of completing Cable and connector preparation, termination, Wiring Loom assembly and fitting out enclosures inline with company drawings and SOP’s.
You will be expected to Identify and assist in the implementation of opportunities for continuous improvement, production cost reductions and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Your Profile
- Experienced in electro / mechanical assembly
- Previous cable assembly experience
- Experienced in using a variety of hand and power tools
- Competent at soldering, crimping and general wiring skills, as well as detecting workmanship issues
- Experience in understanding technical drawings
- Flexible approach to work
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team is essential
- Manual dexterity
