Your Purpose
We’re now looking to recruit a Production Operations Manager to join our brilliant Supply Chain Leadership Team at Aspall.
You will be leading and motivating operational teams to deliver the annual, monthly, and weekly operational plans, while achieving the required level of safety, quality, service, and cost. You will work through a team of Shift Managers to ensure the team members are coached, trained, and developed, and comply with all regulatory requirements.
You will drive the World Class Supply Chain agenda to ensure tools and techniques are implemented into all aspects of our operation.
About You
With a background in Production Management, you will come with manufacturing experience and a be a passionate people leader. Ideally you will bring industry knowledge either from brewing and/or Cyder making or FMCG and be familiar with CI Management Systems such as six signma, lean, TPM, etc.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Continually building the capability of the team through structured personal development and training plans. Providing strong guidance and role modelling our values.
- Play a key role in setting the Annual Operating Plan (AOP/budget), including CapEx plans, KPI glide paths, materials, savings plans and overhead budgets. Tracking and managing delivery of the AOP, reacting to deviations, and taking proactive corrective actions as required.
- Translate the site Compelling Business Need (CBN) and site masterplan into clear departmental policies, goals and objectives which are deployed through Shift Managers to provide a cohesive and aligned approach. Executing a departmental communication process ensuring that employees at all levels are provided with clear expectations.
- Optimise efficiency and serve performance in area of responsibility. Acting as coach and mentor for the deployment of tools to drive KPI improvement and engagement.
