Department: 4Studio
Location: (National HQ - Leeds)
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
4Studio is the engine room for C4’s digital acceleration strategy, with the mission to create, adapt and distribute brilliant content across the key social media channels. We work very closely with key people and departments within C4 to make this a success. 4Studio is based in C4’s new National HQ in Leeds and is a key component of C4’s regional strategy, creating creative job opportunities outside London and expanding the diversity of the company’s creative contribution.
JOB PURPOSE
In order to generate the world class social media content that is needed to make C4 the market leader in digital presence and innovation, we need a world class creative and content team. The Artwork Assistant will be a core part of that team.
Working within a dedicated team of digital creatives, alongside producers and editors, you will be assisting the design team with supporting artwork, thumbnails, memes and design pitches. You’ll be helping build awareness and affinity for Channel 4’s channels and programmes through established and emerging social media platforms.
We are offering you the opportunity to be part of a friendly and highly professional team who will help you develop your skills whilst working on projects. It will be your role as Artwork Assistant to prepare digital assets using existing templates. You need an understanding of Adobe Creative suite specifically Photoshop and InDesign. A keen eye for detail, interest in typography and a base knowledge of grids and design principles is ideal but not essential.
Please note: Although this role plays a key part in 4Studio, for the majority this is not a role involving the design and creation of assets, it is using existing creative to produce content to specified templates. - You will be required to manage the sometimes competing demands of projects. Being cool under pressure is required.
- You won’t be responsible for reporting, but you should still be interested in results and be able to find out what’s done well and what hasn’t – this information should inform your future work.
