Job description
We are looking for a talented Art Director to join the team and take the ownership of creating and amplifying key campaign concepts for new initiatives. You have c ommercial beauty experience with a premium aesthetic. You will take the lead for all detail, design and messaging across full secondary assets bundles and deployment adhering to best practice across these assets. You will report to our Rimmel Creative Director.
MISSION
Reporting to the Brand Creative Director, the role as Campaign Art Director – Rimmel will be fully responsible for autonomously creating and amplifying key Rimmel campaign concepts for new initiatives/KCP’s.
Ensuring all 360 touch points adhere to best practice across all assets. Working within multiple workstreams & collaborating with various internal teams.
Please note that whilst this position will be based in our Wimbledon Office, we do offer a flexible Omni-working policy which means that up to 50% of your hours will be based from the office and the remaining 50% of your hours can be based from home.
THE ROLE
Autonomously create and amplify key campaign concepts for new initiatives /KCP’s
Full Responsibility for all detail, design and messaging across full secondary assets bundles and deployment adhering to best practice across these assets
Capable of creating layouts, storyboards and even rough edits where required
Able to work in an agile way, managing multiple complexes works streams simultaneously
Collaborating on brand team on the complex and ever-changing demands of the day-to day business
Working within internal embryonic small team of design
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
10 years relevant experience
Deep knowledge of EU/Global mass color cosmetics/skincare landscape
Good working capability in beauty retouch, able to markup selects autonomously. Lash work and skin work pivotal
Proficient in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Digitally literate and culturally plugged in
Required skills:
Non-precious do-er needed - not floating executive director. Capable of working themselves to create layouts, storyboards and even rough edits if possible.
Where required, a can-do attitude to making things happen, if it means having to execute tasks themselves. Happy to roll up sleeves and get involved
Able to work in agile way, managing multiple complexes works streams simultaneously.
Patience and adaptability to deal with the complex and ever-changing demands of the day-to-day business.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of hierarchy with multifunctional partners and with external stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal collaboration skills, ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
