JOB PURPOSE: To pick and pack customer orders / carry out warehousing activities and Goods In/Out activities.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Packaging / Stores / Dispatch Supervisor
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To pick and pack all our customer orders from the stores/production against the Works Instructions in readiness for dispatch.
2. To carry out various Warehousing activities - Locating stock/ Stock Checking/ Locating stock on the inventory system/ Stock takes etc.
3.To carry out all Goods In activities - unloading vehicles/checking deliveries against purchase orders or packing lists etc.
4.To carry out all goods out activities - Loading vehicles/booking deliveries with all the carriers etc.
5.To be proficient in the use of all the plant & equipment within the department – packing m/c`s/ compactors/strapex m/c`s/weigh Scales etc.
6. To drive the Counterbalance FLT/Powered pallet truck and Man Up Order Picker for loading/unloading vehicles and for picking stock from the main racking system.
7.To create packing lists for all export orders.
8.To relocate stock from one warehouse to another.
9.To ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and improved upon in the QC area.
10. Responsible for the upkeep, safety, and maintenance of all the equipment within the packaging/stores department.
11.Responsible for maintaining and working to the Health & Safety standards currently in place.
12.To undertake special project work relating to Packaging/Warehousing & Dispatch as requested and defined by the Packaging/Stores/Dispatch Supervisor and/or the General Manager.
ESSENTIAL/ADVANTAGEOUS
1. Ability to understand Works Instructions
2. Extensive product knowledge
4. Experience of working in a packaging/warehousing environment.
5.Full clean UK driving License
