Art Lecturer - Art & Design Level 1
College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Hourly pay rate: £31.27/hour (£26.23/ hour + £5.04/hour as payment for annual leave)
Start Date: September 2023, hours to be confirmed (potentially 3 days)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Art & Design Lecturer to join our successful Art, Design & Media department, starting next Academic Year 23/24 to teach on our Art & Design Level 1 provision.
In this post, you will have responsibility for delivering teaching and learning on our Art & Design course to students. You will directly plan and prepare content to deliver to students, assessing students and partaking in pastoral tutorial sessions.
You will work closely with the Head of Department, Programme Manager and the rest of the Art, Design & Media team, and have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College.
The successful candidate must have:
- A teaching qualification (at a minimum of Level 3)
- Relevant teaching experience, ideally within an FE environment
- An Art & Design or equivalent qualification at Level 3 or above
- Teaching experience of FE / UAL preferable for further sessional opportunities
- Experience of working with learners with high needs
- An excellent standard of IT skills (including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
