Job description

We are looking for an Art Sales Assistant - with a retail background to work in our recently refurbished gallery in Keswick.

You must be passionate about retail and have an interest in art although a detailed knowledge of art is not required as full training on the gallery and our artists will be provided.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service. Relationship building is also a an important aspect of the role and we are looking for someone with evidence of this in previous roles.

Personality is key; we are specifically look for someone who is outgoing, animated and articulate.

The successful person will have a proven sales background, preferably from a luxury/high end retailer. You will be expected to be proactive in sales using a client database. You will be well presented and have an excellent face to face and telephone manner.

Salary will be depending on experience.

We can accommodate varied hours from 16 hours up to 35 hours depending on experience and flexibility. Please do get in touch to discuss.
