Art and Design Technician
Norbury High School for Girls, Croydon

Salary: SCP 5, actual salary £22,514.40 / £24,804 FTE
Hours: 36 hours per week, term time plus one weeks, 8.15am to 4.15pm
Contract: Permanent
The school is situated in North Croydon, Outer London and is part of the Manor Trust, a small multi academy trust comprising Norbury Manor and Kensington Avenue Primary school - the trust was formed in February 2019. We are a fully inclusive school that is dedicated to both supporting and challenging all members of our diverse community and to develop the potential in all our students, no matter what their starting point.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Art and Design Technician to provide practical support to the Art and Technology faculty ensuring that resources and classrooms are prepared for practical lessons and health and safety requirements are met. You will be competent in using tools and equipment to complete Art and Design practical lessons and the have ability to prepare resources and equipment e.g. cutting wood. Knowledge of health and safety requirements and risk assessments would be advantageous however full training will be provided. You should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communications skills and enjoy working with young people as part of a team.
