Job description

We are currently looking for an Area Sales Representative to join our business covering North & East Yorkshire across 5 of our branches (Hull, Beverley, Scarborough, York Clifton Moor & York Foss Island).

Don’t worry, you don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, as we will provide you with a great on-boarding and induction. You just need to be hungry, driven and passionate about sales.

What will you be doing?
  • As an Area Sales Representative for Travis Perkins, you will be responsible for growing and developing your customer base alongside attracting new clients to increase your portfolio.
  • Seeking opportunities to increase sales and margin
  • Building strong relationships with our key strategic supply partners and branch network to maximise opportunities.
  • We want you to be as passionate about our customers as we are, with your strong interest in creating and implementing solutions allowing us to continue supporting our customer ledger and driving loyalty.
  • Relationships and stakeholder management is key for us. You will be using strategic and planned account management methodology, to ensure that every sales opportunity across all product categories are optimised within your ledger.

What are we looking for?
  • We are after someone who’s enthusiastic, driven, resilient and resourceful, with a sharp eye for identifying new sales opportunities and a passion for excellence.
  • Being well-organised and planned goes without saying, as you will be responsible for meeting our valued customer expectations.
  • Preferably, you would have worked within a similar role and have a proven ability to manage a number of key customers and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong abilities in understanding customer objectives in order to develop successful strategic plans
  • Ability to identify new sales opportunities and create solutions for your customer ledger to deliver long term profitable sales growth for both parties.
