Architectural Technologist
We currently have vacancies for Architectural Technologists at various levels based at our Sheffield studio. You will be working closely with multi-disciplinary design team members and dependent on the role, BDP’s clients on projects in a variety of sectors.

The Role:
The role will be centered on the use of BIM methodologies to carry out conceptual, schematic, and detailed design, 3D modelling, technical reports and design coordination.
As a major interdisciplinary building design practice of Architects, Engineers, Designers and Urbanists, BDP offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of high-profile projects within interdisciplinary project teams across multiple sectors.
The Person:
Candidates should be able to meet the following criteria, which should be evidenced through the portfolio:
- Have excellent design and presentation skills using a variety of media
- Possess the ability to communicate verbally in a clear manner
- Demonstrate excellent people skills and to work well within the dynamics of a design team
- Hold a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology or similar/equivalent
- Demonstrate a good understanding of BIM processes, including the PAS 1192 suite of documents and ISO 19650
- Have excellent skills in Autodesk Revit software, with the ability to train and mentor other members of staff
- Have a good knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360), Navisworks or similar design coordination tools
Membership with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) will be considered an advantage, but not essential.
